CUSTOM ANTMINER FIRMWARE for S17, S17 PRO, T17

FIRST INSTALLATION MANUAL

( Available only for firmware with create_log_backup.cgi vulnerability [eg. Antminer-S17-user-MD-201905241706-sig.tar.gz] )

1. After unpacking files from downloaded archive, you need to find and edit settings.cfg by using notepad or similar programs

  •     Set IPNETWORK parameter. For example: If you have 192.168.100.* - set IPNETWORK=192.168.100
  •     Set scan range IPSTART and IPEND. If you want scan from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.40 - set IPSTART=2 IPEND=40.
  •     Set Antminer web password ASICWEBPASS=your_password. (Default: root)
  •     Set Antminer ssh password ASICSSHPASS=your_password. (Default: admin)

2. Scan network and unlock(if possible) selected range using "1.unlock_ssh.bat" script.
3. Wait 2-5 min until Antminer boots up.
4. Replace Upgrade.cgi with "2.replace.bat" script.
5. Update your ASIC with 'runme.sh' script using BTCTools ( https://url.btc.com/btc-tools-download )

If the firmware of your device was released after August 2019, you need to install the earlier version before upgrading to BiXBiT firmware. ( To find your current version check the system tab  )

  1. Download the archive with the firmware image, links:

http://bixbit.io/assets/firmware/S17_SD_Recovery.rar

http://bixbit.io/assets/firmware/T17_SD_Recovery.rar

  • Extract the archive files to the root of SD card
  • Unplug the ASIC from the power source and insert SD card into it
  • Turn on the ASIC - two lights will light up
  • Wait until the ASIC appears in the network with a new IP address
  • Remove the SD card
  • Check whether the firmware version has changed
  • Unlock SSH according to the firmware instructions

IF YOU WANT TO UPDATE EXISTING BIXBIT FIRMWARE

Use 'runme.sh' script from the root folder to update your firmware.

Here you are. Connections apparently are ok, the longer power cable was made by us to check whether it was a problem with the original cable. Same error yet.

Doesn't anyone have experienced such errors?

Hello,

I am trying to install the custom firmware but I haven't succeeded so far.

When running the unlock script this is what is returned ?

[+] Found Antminer T17.. Try unlock it..
/www/pages/cgi-bin/create_log_backup.cgi: exit: line 35: Illegal number: -1
[+] Connect: 10.1.10.249 Success..

Can I consider the script to have worked correctly ?

BTW, I assume you have to execute the replace script and after upload the new firmware correct ?

I have followed these steps, rebooted but still on the official firmware.

Any advice ?

Thnks

Seb

Hi there,

Has anyone experienced this burn (picture attached) in the controller after some days of installing (and overclocking, not by much) bixbit firmware for S17Pro?

If not, does anyone know what that chip does?
Two control cards went burnt so far...and they’re not cheap.

Thanks.

Hi, Paco.

This temperature is too low to overheat your devices. Our own PRO-s are working at 90C for more than 6 months.

Engineers said that this is control board and they never had any problems with them. It seems like your boards may be defective.

Please, keep us updated if you will get more information about this issue.
